Ooo, my choice!
24. Describe this character’s mother.
Kiva’s mother, Adaia, was from the North, though Kiva doesn’t know exactly where. Rivain or Antiva or somewhere even further than that. She was an adventurer at heart and set off from wherever she called home when she was young and traveled around for a long time - Kiva’s father tells her the most wild tales of Adaia killing hordes of bandits single handedly, and Kiva believes them when she is little (she’s pretty sure most of them were made up when she thinks about them later). Eventually, she caught a ship, landed in Denerim, and ended up in the Alienage where she settled down for a time. She died before she ever managed to leave again.
32. Why is this character angry?
Kiva is angry through a lot of Dragon Age. She’s angry about what happened to Shianni, she’s angry about being a warden, she’s angry that darkspawn keep trying to kill her - she’s really a volatile ball of anger for a very long time, and it makes it hard for her to related to everyone else, though she manages to still connect with a few of them.
11. Name this character’s favorite person (living or dead).
I think it’s a toss up between Morrigan and Sigrun, who are both fantastic friends to her in very different ways. It takes Morrigan and Kiva a very long time to connect with one another, and they still don’t fully understand the other, but they form a very close friendship. And Sigrun is the sort of bright light that Kiva needs to be around, who brings out all the snarkiest parts of Kiva’s personality.
